Terms of Service
Effective June 18, 2026
1. The short version
Postmark RSVP ("we", "us") lets you send RSVP invitations to your guests and track their responses. By using the service you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use it.
2. Your account
You're responsible for keeping your password safe and for everything done under your account. Don't share credentials. Tell us at hello@postmark.rsvp if you think your account has been compromised.
3. Acceptable use
You may only send invitations to people who have a real, prior relationship with you (you invited them to a real event). No purchased lists, no scraped contacts, no marketing emails dressed up as RSVPs. Full rules in our Acceptable Use Policy.
4. Plans & billing
Paid plans bill monthly or yearly via Stripe. You can cancel anytime from your account page; access continues through the end of the billing period you paid for. No partial refunds.
5. Quotas
Each plan has hard limits (events, recipients, monthly sends). When you hit a limit we stop sending and show you a banner — we never silently overcharge. Upgrade or wait for the next 30-day window to continue.
6. Your content, your data
You own your guest list, your invite copy, and your responses. We store this data to run the service. We don't sell it, don't mine it, and don't use it to train models.
7. SMS invitations (Pro and Pro Plus)
Paid plans may send event invitations by SMS text message through our messaging provider, Twilio. This is an optional feature you turn on per event.
- Who sends: texts are sent by Postmark RSVP on behalf of the event host who added the recipient.
- Purpose: transactional event invitations and RSVP confirmations only — never marketing or promotional content.
- Consent: you may only add a guest's phone number if that guest has agreed to receive event texts from you. You confirm this consent at the time you add them. Consent is not a condition of using any other part of the service.
- Frequency: message frequency varies by event; typically one invitation per guest plus any RSVP confirmation or reminder you choose to send.
- Cost: message and data rates may apply for the recipient, depending on their mobile carrier and plan.
- Opt-out: recipients can reply STOP at any time to stop all texts, or HELP for help. We honor opt-outs immediately and permanently.
8. Service availability
We do our best to keep Postmark RSVP up, but offer no formal uptime SLA on any plan. Scheduled maintenance is rare and announced via the product when possible.
9. Termination
You can delete your account anytime. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate the Acceptable Use Policy, with notice when practical and immediately when not.
10. Limitation of liability
To the extent allowed by law, our total liability for any claim related to the service is capped at the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose. We're not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
11. Changes to these terms
We'll post changes here with a new effective date. Material changes will also be emailed to active accounts. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the new terms.
